Clinical Lead – High Wycombe

We are supporting our client, a leading private healthcare company, with the recruitment of a highly skilled clinical lead to join an inpatient hospital team for adults with eating disorders in High Wycombe. 

This is a 14-bed specialist eating disorder service for mixed-gender adults. Reporting to the Hospital Director, the Clinical Lead forms part of the hospital Senior Management Team and is wholly responsible for the clinical services operations (nursing and therapy) within the hospital.

The post holder will ensure the highest level of patient care is provided to all patients.

Your role as the Clinical Lead will be to work closely to support the HD with the running of the Hospital.  You will also oversee the nursing team, with the support of MDT team including a Ward Manager and Deputy Ward Manager. This role is similar in profile to that of a Matron/Team Lead/Clinical Lead within the NHS.

The job holder must currently hold a full clean driving licence and have been qualified for 3 years.

Knowledge / Education / Skills

  • Professional NMC registration.
  • Strong clinical experience in ED and evidence of continuing professional development.
  • A detailed understanding of statutory regulations is essential.
  • Passionate about providing high-quality care and continuous improvement.
  • Experience devising and undertaking quality improvement projects and evidence-based evidence.
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making skills essential.
  • Forward thinking, proactive and creative
  • The ability to deal with multiple issues simultaneously in a highly dynamic environment.
  • High levels of integrity and boundaries.

Experience

  • Experience of working at a supervisory or managerial level within a relevant clinical setting; minimum 2 years working as a Ward Manager or equivalent.
  • Experience of managing a clinical budget.
  • Strong background within leadership and people management.
  • Experience of leading, implementing and reviewing quality initiatives in a related environment.
  • Strong track record of innovation
