Our client is a rapidly growing financial institution with a commitment to providing the best possible service to their customers. As part of their dedication to ensuring compliance with all aspects of consumer duty, they are currently seeking a skilled MI Analyst to join the Centre of Operations.
Role Overview:
The MI Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting the business by providing insightful data analysis, reporting, and actionable recommendations. They will work closely with key stakeholders to understand their requirements, develop reports, and provide analysis that drives informed decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and data visualisations.
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide relevant information.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity in all reporting and analysis.
- Utilise tools such as Google Looker, SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar to extract and manipulate data.
- Support the development of KPIs and performance metrics to drive business performance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimisation.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Extensive experience using Google Looker (Google Data Studio) is critical.
- Proven experience as an MI Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar analytical role.
- Experience in Banking or Financial Services would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data insights clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data handling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Relevant certifications in data analysis or business intelligence are a plus.
